Rubber Ducky

Before leaving on maternity leave, I had one final request to create a rubber ducky party. The party girl, Caitlin, was a 12-year old collector ofrubber ducks. The big pink one on the left side of the table was one of hers, the other ducks I found at AVA where you can buy the ducks in different sizes and colors suiting your table. To have the ducks swimming, I placed some buckets on the table for the ducks to swim as decoration. Another nice touch were the duck-shaped pieces of green melon on the cupcakes.

On this table, I used the hot pink take-out boxes from the shop filled with home made marshmellows also in the shape of ducks. Further, there were macarons, decorated cookies, cakepops and a variety of sweets to chose from. The party girl said at one moment that she wasn’t sure if she would go and play with her friends or if she would sit next to the table all afternoon making sure her little brother wouldn’t eat all sweets 🙂 Luckily, I always have some spare treats with me so the little brother could already try some before the party started.
